1977-1985 - Baccarat-Weatherall (Summer)
|
This is the summer version of the Baccarat-Weatherall uniform which made the bridge between the seventies and the eighties. Also, this is the first British Airways uniform.
Remark: This is not the original belt as it should be very narrow.

1986-1991 - Roland Klein (Summer)
|
This uniform was worn shortly after Landor rebranded British Airways with a new plane livery. At that time BA was synonym of luxury and elegance and was perceived as the prefered airline in the world.
The uniform designed by Roland Klein was in line with this image and the fabrics used for these garments were sophisticated.
To be complete, this summer uniform should have a matching belt in the same fabric.
A few details should be mentioned: the skirts is pleateated in front and in the back and the shirt was worn over the skirt: it has two belt eyes.
I do have parts of the winter uniform, but unfortunately not enough to display it as a complete uniform.

1992-2005 - Paul Costelloe

The Paul Costelloe was the second uniform worn during the Landor period (and a few years after).
Both winter and summer versions are available here. Summer version with short sleeve shirt and pleated skirt, and winter version (plum skirt and jacket, long sleeve shirt, felt hat).
The fabric is quite particular as it looks even on picture, but it is actually dark blue with even spaced red spots. Both the jacket and the skirt have those nice shiny metal buttons with the BA crest.
To be absolutely complete we need the sisal summer hat, the gloves and the belt. 5 uniforms from this designer are preserved here, 3 winter and 2 summer versions.
