After the merge with UTA and Air Inter, the design of a brand new uniform was not a priority. Some former uniforms were either further used or adapted.
In this case, the design is derived from the former Air Inter uniform made by Nina Ricci. The neck opening is wider and the number of buttons was reduced. This uniform was available either as a dress or a suit in navy blue, light blue and signal red, allowing the stewardess to dress according to her mood.
The red version was less popular among the cabin crews because most passengers thought that the red colour was dedicated to pursers.
Unfortunately the navy version is still missing.

Après la fusion avec UTA puis Air Inter, la conception d'un nouvel uniforme n'était pas la première priorité. Air France a tout naturellement adapté des uniformes existants. L'uniforme d'été dessiné par Nina Ricci ressemble très fort à celui porté chez Air Inter: l'encolure et les boutons ont changé mais le concept reste le même.
Il se décline en robe ou en tailleur deux-pièces, en bleu ciel, bleu marine ou rouge. Le rouge était moins prisé par le personnel navigant car il signifie "chef" dans bon nombre de compagnies asiatiques.
Le version bleu marine manque encore à cette collection.
